Risk Assesment Study of BU Infectious Disease Lab 10/23
As you may be aware, a federal law suit has been filed that challenges
the National Environmental Policy Act process for the National Emerging
Infectious Diseases Laboratories (NEIDL) at Boston University Medical
Center. In response to this law suit, the National Institutes of Health
(NIH) is compiling additional information on risk assessment studies.
Representatives from the NIH would like your help in developing further
risk assessment studies for the NEIDL, a laboratory facility designed to
conduct research related to protecting public health and to curing and
treating infectious diseases. So that the community can present concerns
regarding risks associated with research proposed for the NEIDL, NIH is
offering an open forum to listen to any concerns and to help NIH develop
a responsive risk assessment analysis.
You are invited to join this important discussion on Monday, October 23
from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Patrick's Parish, Community Hall located
at 400 Dudley Street (617-445-7645).
